These courses include 22 weeks of tuition and two weeks on work placement.
Qualification: You study for the NCTJ Preliminary Certificate. This is a qualification recognised in all areas of journalism including magazines and broadcasting.
Exams: News Writing, Law(Parts 1 and 2), Public Affairs(Parts 1 and 2), Shorthand 100wpm, Online Writing and Editing.
Assessed coursework: News Portfolio, Video Journalism.

Contact Hours: 25-30 per week.
Price for Courses Starting in 2007: £2,400(£2,300 if you pay your fees at least a month in advance) The price includes a minimum of £238 in NCTJ examination fees.
Accommodation : The price does not include accommodation, but details of host families and other rented properties are available on request.
Selection: Candidates take a short e-mail entrance test based on English, News Writing and Current Affairs.
