Abe Stoklasa was a multi-talented artist. He was a versatile musician and a talented songwriter. He had a passion for music, and his compelling storytelling technique via music was unparalleled. He played several instruments, such as guitar, piano, saxophone, and pedal steel. He had a deep and expressive voice with which he mesmerized the world and garnered loyal fans and followers.
Early Life and Career
He grew up in Princeton, MO, and played music and singing in the local bands at 6. He moved to Tennessee at 14 and pursued music as his career after graduating high school. He played pedal steel and saxophone for David Nail and Billy Currington. He found his calling in songwriting and left the band to write songs full-time in 2013 at the age of 26. He has written songs for notable artists, including Tim McGraw (How I’ll Always Be), Blake Sheldon, Lady Antebellum., Eric Paslay, and many more.
He was widely appreciated for Charles Kelley’s “Leaving Nashville.” He earned many accolades, including the ASCAP Country Music Award, the MusicRow Publisher Award, and the NSAI Songwriter Award. He has released his own music as well and performed at various venues. He was also a member of the Railers band, along with his wife, Cassandra Lawson, and friends Jonathan and Jordan Lawson. He released a solo EP titled “Abe Stoklasa” in 2019.

Abe was a devoted son, a loving husband, a caring father, and a loyal friend. He was married to Cassandra Lawson, a singer and songwriter. They were partners for life and cherished music. Together, they had two children, a daughter and a son. His family was his whole world. He was also very close to his parents. Everyone loved his. His loved ones describe him as witty, funny, and the life of every room he was in. He was kind and compassionate. His tragic passing has left everyone close to him mourning.
