Aiden Clark, an elementary student, has been identified as the child who died in the tragic Northwestern Local School bus accident and was declared deceased at the scene.
According to an Ohio State Highway Patrol news release, the accident happened on state Route 41 in German Township, Ohio, on Tuesday, August 22, 2023.
While the school bus was travelling to school at roughly 8:16 A.M., the horrible accident occurred in Springfield, Ohio, that resulted in numerous injuries.
His death news went viral through social media, including Northwestern Local School and a renowned anchor, Adam Aaro, he posted on Facebook:
“Before I share the latest update on this horrific school bus crash out of Clark County, I wanted to share my deepest condolences and prayers to the families involved – especially for the family of the child who died.
As a father of three children who ride the bus to school every day, it’s impossible to imagine their grief and heartache right now… Please keep them your thoughts…..”
People are sending condolences on social media; his sudden death left his family in shock and disbelief—prayers and condolences to his family.
Adam Aaro also wrote about Aiden’s memorial services on Facebook on Wednesday:
“The memorial for Northwestern Local School’s student, Aiden Clark continues to grow tonight… Please continue to keep his family in your thoughts, prayers and hearts.
A vigil was held tonight for Clark, his family and the other families impacted by this tragedy… The district has cancelled school Thursday.”
On the first day of school, Aiden, an elementary kid, was died, and 23 other pupils were injured, including one with life-threatening injuries, after their school bus was hit by a minivan. The other 23 injured students were taken to hospitals, and the school bus driver suffered minor injuries.

In connection with the fatal bus crash, authorities detained Odyssey’s 35-year-old driver, Hermanio Joseph, in connection with the incident on Wednesday and charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, a fourth-degree felony.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the defendant will face these charges concerning the crash that killed one kid and injured others.
One of Clark’s family friends wrote about him on social media:
“Trevor’s friend, Aiden, tragically lost his life in the bus crash yesterday. Aiden was a fantastic kid who was full of drive and was bound for greatness. Last year, he was on our baseball team and played soccer with Trev.”
