The Bachelorette Season 19 finale contestant, Erich Schwer’s former girlfriend, Amanda Kaylor, passed away at 27 by committing suicide. She was found dead on September 5, 2023, at her residence.
Amanda often shared her motherhood joy with her baby boy on her Instagram account, August, whom she loved with all her heart. She was a devoted mother of two kids and loved exciting adventures like biking and snowboarding.
She would proudly flaunt her love for the baby by claiming to be “Mama to August.”. She had a serious relationship with Erich that began in January 2022 through Hinge, a dating app. They lived in the same area of Santa Monica and had a very romantic relationship.
When Erich lost his job during the pandemic, she supported him throughout. But their relationship was short-lived as they split apart in March 2022 when Erich entered The Bachelorette. Erich shared with her that he wanted to explore more career options and needed a different direction in life.
He had feelings for Amanda, but due to the show’s production schedule, they only got a little time to communicate, and he would respond to her messages quite late. Amanda was not satisfied with this and criticized Erich’s motives. She even shared that she did not get involved with him just for attention.
Now, this sudden death of Amanda has facilitated various rumors, and Erich has not given any public statement about Amanda’s suicide. There have been discussions about mental health issues and the need for a balanced and real life. Many have criticized Erich for prioritizing his career over his relationship with Amanda.
As friends and family mourn the loss of this devoted mother to August, we pass our deep condolences and pray for the strength of her loved ones during these challenging times. The news of the passing of this vibrant and loving soul left a deep void in the lives of those who loved her.
Her funeral preparations and obituary plans will be shared by her family later on as they need some space and time to heal.
