Haitham Kim, a Tanzanian singer, died on September 1, 2023, at Temeke Hospital following a protracted struggle with respiratory illnesses.
Kim had been taken to Temeke Hospital in Dar es Salaam with a fever and COVID-like symptoms. Medical professionals declared that Kim had suffered respiratory issues, including pneumonia, that ultimately led to her death.
As per her husband’s friend BNB’s statement to the media, “We took her to the hospital, and Kim stayed in a regular ward for a few days, breathing with the assistance of an oxygen machine, until four days, when her health deteriorated, Kim was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).”
Her death was also announced by Mideyah Digital Media and Ronnie VaHungwe Chaparira through Facebook; the Mideyah post stated that:
“Haitham Kim, a Tanzanian musician, has passed away. In a local hospital where she had been brought to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after experiencing breathing problems, Haitham died, according to Tanzanian news sources. The Tanzanian musician was well-known for her songs, including “Hakutaki” with Sani Boy & In the spotlight: #MideyahKEHaitham.”

Who was Haitham Kim?
Kim was a well-known Tanzanian musician who was active in music for a considerable time. She was also renowned for her work on the remix of the song Hello Mwari with Zimbabwean musician Jah Master.
In addition, Kim gained notoriety with her song Playboy, which featured Wema Sepetu, the 2006 Miss Tanzania. Sema, Utamu, Niteke, Ukaniumiza (Remix) (2022), I Wish (2023), Kitu Kizito (2022), Follow Me (2021), and Dubai (2023) are a few of her well-known songs.
Kim shared music videos on a YouTube account with over 33k fans. In a similar vein, she now has over 333k followers on Instagram.
