A young boy recognized as Joshua Dyer, a 17-year-old teenager from the Llanelli region, died on Friday, August 19, 2023, after being hit by a train in Carmarthenshire.
Joshua was struck by a train, and his body was later discovered in Carmarthenshire. According to the officials, he died immediately at the scene of the deadly train disaster,
As per British Transport Police, the accident happened close to Llanelli at around five PM on Friday.
As a result, the line between Carmarthen and Swansea was shut down for about four hours. Medical personnel also rushed to the site, but regrettably, Joshua could not be saved and was later declared dead.
According to his mother, grandmother, and relatives,
“He will be deeply missed and adored. We will never know what was going through Joshua’s mind when he made the decision he did, but we do know the world is missing a beautiful and unique mind,
Joshua desired to be pain- and anxiety-free since he did not feel like he belonged. Joshua, you are our handsome son, Fly high.”
His family also described him as “a wonderful and considerate son, grandson, and nephew” who would be sorely missed.

Josh Dyer died in a deadly train disaster, and the death has not been looked into as suspicious by the authorities.
Transport for Wales (TfW) has confirmed the railway line’s reinstatement, and regular business operations have resumed there.
