A Bolsonaro supporter and influencer commits suicide after writing a ‘farewell letter’ on social media.
Karol Eller, a Brazilian influencer, reportedly committed suicide on Thursday, October 12, 2023, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She was a supporter of President Jair Bolsonaro. She was 36 years old.
What happened to Karol Eller?
According to the reports, Karol Eller committed suicide. In a post on her Instagram, she published a ‘farewell letter’ which suggested she could take her own life. In the letter she said ‘she lost the war’. She shared her address with the Fire Department, apologized to those close to her, and said,
“Forgive me for causing all this pain to those who love me. Take care of yourselves around you,” she wrote. She appealed to everyone to remember her fondly. She said, “I hope that even though suicide is abominable, I stopped fighting for my country! At least remember this fondly,” she signed her content with the Brazilian flag.
Who was Karol Eller?
She was an influencer in Brazil. She gained popularity in recent years with her support for President Jair Bolsonaro. She even held a position in the federal government at the Brazilian Communication Company (EBC) during Bolsonaro’s term. She was an open homosexual.
She became famous in 2019 when she was victimized by a homophobic attack, with an altercation exchange, on the Barra da Tjuca waterfront in Rio de Janeiro. Her then-girlfriend accompanied her. The harsh incident involved three other people.
She recently made a life-changing decision and converted to an evangelical religion. She announced the news on her social media and wrote,
“Family, I ask that you redouble your prayers because God has used me in an unprecedented way, and from now on, I am ready to face challenges under the authority of the name of Jesus!” she continued, “May I decrease so that You may increase, Lord, even more. RESIGNATION! Yes, I have renounced my previous sexual orientation, abandoned vices and set aside the desires of my flesh to embrace a life in Christ! May God bless you all!”
