His sudden, unexpected death has cast a sombre cloud over the entire Floral Park community, whose integral part he was. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends, and affected community members during this challenging time.

Who was Christopher Battaglia?

Christopher Lewis Battaglia was a 17-year-old student-athlete at Kellenberg Memorial High School. He was a beloved resident of Floral Park, New York. He was born on August 17, 2006, to parents Jaclyn and Christopher Battaglia. He was a caring brother of Ryan, a cherished grandson of Rose and Joseph DeVito and Charles and Laura Battaglia and the late Joanne and Lewis McNeece.

Christopher was a student-athlete at the Kellenberg Memorial High School. He was a dedicated student and was known for his commitment to academia. He was a star athlete who played for his school. The school has inaugurated a scholarship fund in his name.

Dalton Funeral Home F.P., 29 Atlantic Avenue, Floral Park, NY 11001. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory R.C. Church at 2 Floral Parkway, Floral Park, NY 11001, followed by an interment at Holy Rood Cemetery (Westbury).
The family has requested that donations be made in his memory to Kellenberg Memorial High School instead of flowers.
