Dr. Marc McCain, a well-known pediatrician in Vero Beach, Florida, died of suicide. He was 48 years old. He was affiliated with Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital. He graduated from the University of South Florida, Marsani College of Medicine in 2000. He specializes in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine and has practiced for over 20 years.

What happened to Dr. Marc McCain?

He died of suicide in his home. According to the emergency officials, Fire rescue responded to a call to Dr. Marc shortly before 3 am and found him dead from a gunshot wound. The details of what caused him to end his life are unknown. An investigation is underway to learn more about the circumstances that led to him committing suicide.

The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the circumstances that led to Dr. Marc’s death.
Sargent Kevin Jaworski said,

“It is currently under investigation (but) we do not suspect foul play at this time,”

The Indian River County Fire Rescue Fire Chief David Rattray informed that Fire rescue workers arrived at Dr. Marc’s home at 2:43 am and learned from Sheriff’s deputies that Dr.McCain had died from a gunshot wound.

Who was Dr. Marc McCain?

He was a medical doctor with expertise in pediatrics and adolescent medicine based in Florida.
According to medical records, Dr. McCain worked as a pediatrician at two locations: Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital at 1000 36 Street, Vero Beach, and Treasure Coast Pediatrics, at 3700 block of 11th Circle. The clinic has announced that it will remain closed ‘until further notice’ in a voice recording released by the staff.
