Hadley Wood, a softball player at Kiefer High School, was killed in Creek County accident.
Hadley Wood, a 15-year-old Kiefer High School student-athlete, passed away in a deadly crash on Thursday night in Creek County, Oklahoma. Kiefer Public School superintendent Randy Shaw released a statement regarding the loss of their team player. The statement read as,
Yesterday, one of our students, Hadley Wood, passed away. Hadley was an exceptional young lady. She was a great student and a member of our softball team,” she continued, “Please keep Hadley and her family in your thoughts and prayers, and reflect on the importance of being a family, of being a friend.”
Kiefer is a town south of Tulsa in Creek County, Oklahoma. It has a population of 2,200 people. It’s a close-knit community of loving and caring people.

Hadley Wood was a 15-year-old student-athlete. She was a softball player in the Kiefer High School’s team and exhibited true grit and determination on the team. Her hard work and determination earned the team a place in the State tournament. She was a dedicated student and a fierce softball player. She was a bright ray of sunshine. She always had a smile on her face. She was loved and cherished by the community. All who had the privilege to know her will deeply feel her absence.
What happened to Hadley Wood?
She was involved in an accident on Thursday night in Creek County, Oklahoma, shortly after her softball team secured a 4-3 win against Comanche in super regional and advanced to play in the State tournament.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the accident to learn more about the circumstances that led to the accident.
A GoFundMe page has been organized
Kyron Stokes has organized a GoFundMe page to help the grieving Wood family in this crucial time. The target is set at 25,000 dollars. Over 300 people have donated and raised over 33,000 dollars. The funds will help the family with unexpected life expenses. The fundraiser said,
“Anyone who knows Hadley knows the light she radiates, the grit she carried, and the sheer determination she possessed.” The Wood family is grieving. They have lost a daughter, granddaughter, and sister, and many others have lost friends, teammates and classmates.
The Oklahoma softball community has outpoured support for the grieving family and friends. They have donated generously to the fundraiser, surpassing the goal of 25,000 dollars, and they have offered condolences and prayers to console the family and friends in this time of bereavement.
Keifer Lady Trojans Softball team released a statement regarding their team player’s death,
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Hadley Wood’s family. No words can express how we feel. We want you all to know how much Hadley meant to us, she will always have a special place in our hearts! She will also always be a member of this team and know if you all need anything all you have to do is ask. Sincerely the Lady Trojans and Coaches!!”
