Heart Uy, a renowned dancer from the Philippines, died in a residential fire accident on October 4, 2023. She was 18 years old. She was a member of dance groups Upeepz and Vpeepz. Her tragic death sent shockwaves in the dancer community—our deepest condolences to the family and friends.

What happened to Heart Uy?

She was killed in a residential fire accident. The devastating tragedy happened in the dancing star’s house on October 4, 2023, in Quezon City, Philippines. According to the reports, the fire started on the house’s first floor around 2 a.m. and lasted for one hour before the firefighters extinguished it. Other family members were rescued, including two injured. The fire claimed four lives, including two household members, Heart Uy and Mark Baben, and two beloved pets, Chewie and Luna.

Who was Heart Uy?

Heart Angela Digneneng Uy was a world-renowned dancer and choreographer from the Philippines. She was born on October 29, 2004. She was 18 years old. She was a member of the dance groups Upeepz and Vpeepz. The groups have won several competitions. The dance group Upeepz is a two-time winner of the World Hip Hop Dance Championship, two-time winner of Body Rock Dance Competition USA, and winner of NBC World of Dance season 3 Junior Team Division and season 4. The Group Vpeepz is a varsity team of Upeepz.

She was immensely talented. She began her dancing journey at age ten and graced the Upeepz dance family with her dedication and unparalleled talent. Her commitment to the art of dance paved the way for the junior teams to be competitive on international platforms. She was an experienced competitor, leader, and senior team choreographer.

She was more than a dancer. She was a fiercely loyal friend and teammate. Over the years, the team had evolved into a family. She was a loving daughter, niece and an affectionate companion to her fur babies, Chewie and Luna.

A GoFundMe page has been organized

A GoFundMe page has been established to help her family with the financial burden that came with the devastating accident. The funds will help the family with the funeral and burial arrangements of Heart Uy, Mark Baben, Chewie, and Luna. The rest will help them rebuild and restore the house severely damaged by the fire. The goal has been set at 20,000 dollars. Over 9,000 dollars have been raised in 24 hours. It is requested that all donate to the cause generously.


International dance competition Dance Supremacy wrote,
