A family in Niagara Falls, Ontario, is grieving the untimely loss of their six-year-old daughter, Jordy Pepperall, who died after battling a fatal illness on September 15, 2023.
Jordy Pepperall was born on August 17, 2017, and lost her life at Hamilton’s McMaster Children’s Hospital after suffering from Leukemia, a terrible kind of blood cancer. Leukaemia is the most prevalent type of cancer among children.
Approximately 3,000 children in the US are afflicted every year. Leukaemia is linked to about 30% of childhood cancers. Leukaemia can affect anyone at any age; however, it typically affects children between the ages of two and six.
Jordy’s family confirmed her death news through a Facebook post; Marcy Bastings stated in his post:
“We regret to inform you of the untimely demise of our precious angel Jordy Pepperall, age 6, at Hamilton’s McMaster Children’s Hospital on September 15 2023. Jordy was Jack’s gorgeous little sister and the devoted child of Lindsay Shura and Colin Pepperall.
Your brief time on Earth has irrevocably altered the planet significantly and subtly. Compared to your time, your impact was far bigger until we crossed paths again over the rainbow. My adorable angel.”
According to the family, Jordy was full of life and lit up each place she entered. The little girl’s family and the entire Niagara Falls community are grieving. Jordy has been praised as a young person with a lovely heart who always smiles charmingly and loves her family.
Thoughts and Condolences to the little girl’s family and community; her untimely demise left her family in shock and disbelief. Jordy’s funeral and burial customs are unknown yet.
Jordy’s family has set up a GoFundMe page to assist in gathering money for both her funeral and charitable causes in Jordy’s honor. Jessica Patrella organized the fundraiser campaign on behalf of her family and wrote in her post;
“On behalf of the Pepperall Family, a GoFundMe has been created to honor Jordy. Jordy Pepperall was vivacious and radiated energy wherever she went. Instead of sending flowers, the family is asking for donations in Jordy’s honor, which will be used to establish a foundation that honors all of her beautiful qualities and provide any additional support the family may need.
The entire Pepperall family, including Colin, Lindsay, and Jack, appreciate everyone’s love and support and the donations made in Jordy’s memory.”
The campaign started earning $49,902; anyone who wants to donate funds can easily contribute directly to help Jordy’s family in this trying time. Prayers for the little girl; Rest in Peace, Jordy Pepperall.
