A beloved member of the Ontario community, Katie Marshall, passed away in a fatal car accident on Saturday, September 23, 2023, leaving friends and family devastated. Her friends shared the news of her death, devastating the community. Her friend Ann Marie Douglas posted on social media,
“There are not too many people at RVH that haven’t been touched by Katie in some way. She was truly a beautiful soul.” She continues, “Rest in Paradise, beautiful Katie Marshall. You will be missed.”
“My condolences to her family and prayers for a speedy recovery of her husband.
You are all in my thoughts today.”
Who was Katie Marshall?
Katie Marshall was a beloved member of the Lisle, Ontario, community. She was married to Brody Marshall, an athlete. He is a rider in an equestrian competition, a Horse competition that tests the overall abilities of horse and rider in various capacities, i.e. endurance riding, stadium show jumping, etc. Just last week, Katie Marshal updated on social media about Brody Marshal’s competing in the National Pole Bending Association‘s championship, where Brody and Grace excelled at the NBHA/OBRA Crane Classic, ranking 2nd in pole runs and 1D Average.
She was a horseback rider herself. She loved animals and riding horses. She worked at Royal Victoria Hospital. Her dedication and tenacity were unparalleled. She could work with the most difficult patients with ease. Her peers describe her as “Friendly, fierce and fair“. She had a kind, gentle heart, yet she was a force to be reckoned with. She was an “original protector” who would do anything for her friends. She had her friend’s trust and respect. She touched many lives with her warmth and kindness.
She always had a smile on her face and cherished every moment of her life. She was a supportive wife to her husband, cheering for him in his competitions, accompanying him on his visits to trim the horses for community members, and never leaving his side. Sadly, grim clenches of death tore the two beautiful souls bound for life. The community has shown a heartwarming concern for her husband, who now suffers the harsh reality of his soul mate’s departure from the world. May he find solace in this time of despair.
