CBC Vancouver Kuljeet Kaila Died of Brain Cancer

Kuljeet Kaila, a well-known reporter, journalist, and anchor with CBC Vancouver, passed away on Sunday morning, September 12, 2023, at Surrey Memorial Hospital.

As per reports, Kaila had been battling with brain Cancer for the past few years; she was taking treatment to get a cure. She fought a hard fight against the disease with her optimistic approach, but unfortunately, she died while undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Jason Faria confirmed her death news through a Facebook post that says:

“I find it difficult to say goodbye to people. Kuljeet Kaila was a kind and generous person on the inside and out. Life is short; enjoy it because it isn’t endless.”

Social media have been poured with sympathies and prayers on losing the talented and beautiful soul. Thoughts and Condolences to her family, friends and close companions. Kaila’s funeral and burial customs have not been disclosed publicly.

About Kuljeet Kaila

Kuljeet Kalia was raised in Mackenzie, British Columbia and then relocated to Vancouver, British Columbia. She went to Mackenzie Secondary School and attended Langara College for higher studies.

After graduating from the journalism department at Langara College and the TV and radio program at Columbia Academy, she started her career as a regular broadcaster on radio and Television in Metro Vancouver in the late 1990s.

In 1998, Kaila joined News 1130 (CKWX-AM) as a reporter and anchor to begin her career in media. She began working as an anchor and producer for Shaw Cable in Vancouver in 2001 before transferring to CHEK-TV Victoria in 2004.

She moved back to Vancouver in 2006 and began working as a traffic reporter for 94.5 Virgin Radio (CFBT-FM), Z95.3 (CKZZ-FM), and CISL 650. From 2010 to 2011, she hosted the morning show at Shushma Datt’s Sp!ce Radio (CJRJ-AM). Before joining CBC Vancouver last year, she worked as a weather and traffic anchor for CTV Vancouver.

Kaila also appeared in several TV commercials and Television films apart from her broadcasting career. She also followed her interest in organizing events and DJing under the auspices of her business, KJ Media.

According to one of Kaila’s friends, Keri Adams, Kaila touched the lives of everyone she came into contact with along the way; the unexpected swiftness of this struggle has left us all in a state of shock.

Even in the face of this unanticipated difficulty, she maintained her steadfast resolve, which serves as a sobering reminder of the frailty of life and the astounding depth of the human spirit.

We also honor her exceptional life, the numerous struggles she overcame, and the long-lasting impression she left on this world. Kaila will always be remembered in the hearts of her loved ones. Prayers for her. Rest in Peace, Kuljeet Kaila.
