4-Year-Old Muhammad Shazrein Passes Away After Being Hit by Mercedes

A four-year-old boy, Muhammad Shazrein, who had just returned from kindergarten, was killed when the motorcycle he was riding with his father collided with a Mercedes car at Kilometer 16 Jalan SUA Betong on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Air Kuning road, Malaysia.

The victim, Muhammad Shazrein, was confirmed dead while receiving treatment at the red zone of Port Dickson Hospital. At the same time, his 26-year-old father sustained serious injuries, including a broken shoulder and right leg, according to Superintendent Aidi Sham Mohamed, the Port Dickson District Police Chief.

Thoughts and Condolences to his family and community, his sudden demise left the country in mourning and shocked. Prayers for the little boy. Rest in Peace, Shahzrein.

According to Aidi Sham, the victim’s father was a Sua Betong farm technician,  the biker was returning home after picking up his son from Pasti Al Hasan in Taman Desa Port Dickson when he collided with a car driven by a 33-year-old Singaporean guy. This accident happened at 1.30 in the afternoon.

Aidi Sham informed reporters today that when the Mercedes arrived at the scene, it cut off the automobile in front of it and struck the victim’s motorcycle on the right side as it turned to the right junction toward Ladang Sua Betong.

However, there were no casualties to the Mercedes’ driver. The driver’s preliminary urine test returned negative, and a breathalyzer test revealed no signs of alcohol in the blood.

Dickson Police declared that, the man has been remanded for three days starting today, and further investigation is still being conducted in accordance with Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act (APJ) 1987, the police requested witnesses to the collision to go to the neighboring police station to assist with the investigation.
