Sea Presley, a certified Black belt in Martial arts and student-athlete at Willowbrook High School, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at the young age of 16 in Villa Park, Illinois. The Villa Park community mourns the loss of a young soul taken too soon from the world. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family in this grievous time.
Who was Sean Presley?
Sean Presley was born on January 11, 2007, to Thomas and Ivana Presley, nee Musialova. He was a native of Villa Park, Illinois. He graduated from St. Pius X Parish Catholic School. He attended Willowbrook High School. He loved football and played on the Varsity Warriors football team. He was a dedicated student and a talented young athlete.
His athletic abilities do not stop there; he was certified Black belt at Sky Centers Martial Arts in Lombard. His martial arts black belt is a testament to his self-discipline and hardworking nature. Hard work and commitment did not scare him.
He was loved by all who knew him. Martial arts not only unlock mastery over physical technique but also unleash the power of the mind. Having physical strength and using it responsibly is an art not everyone can master. People with physical advantages can often use their power to undermine others. But those who use it to defend themselves and others, if need be, are the true heroes. Sean knew this very well and was always kind toward others despite his mastery of Martial arts. It is no wonder that everyone loved him.
Sean belonged to a big, hearty family who loved him very much. He thrived in the loving environment of a warm family, which cultivated love and kindness in him. He loved his family dearly. He was a caring brother of Amy Lynn (Jeremy Schoonmaker) Presley, a loving uncle of Amelia and Avery Schoonmaker, a beloved grandson of Nancy Lee and the late Robert Presley, and Jan and Jaroslav Musial. He was a great-grandson of the late Rachel Vanovertveldt, a cherished nephew of Sue(Craig) Presley-Frost, and a grand-nephew of the late Aunt Ann Dewilde and Ales Musial.
