Mallam Isa Gusau, a Nigerian spokesman to Borno State Governor Zulum, passed away in a specialist hospital in New Delhi, India, on Thursday, January 11, 2024, after a protracted illness. Until his death, Gusau served as Chief Strategist on Media and Publicity to Governor Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum.

Mallam Isa Gusau passed away after a protracted illness in a specialist hospital in New Delhi, India, on Thursday, January 11, 2024. The Borno State Government announced Gusau’s death in a statement on Friday.
“We regret to announce that Mallam Isa Gusau died in the early hours of Thursday in a hospital outside the country after battling with heart problem,” the government said.
“Gusau was one of the aides first appointed by Governor Zulum after being sworn in on 29 May 2019.
He had served in the same capacity when Governor Kashim @officialSKSM was the Governor of Borno for eight years. May his soul rest in peace. Ameen.”
