Matty Lock, a 19-year-old campaigner, politician, and television presenter, passed away unexpectedly. Matty’s real name was Matthew Lock, his death cause is still unknown, and his family or media disclosed his death reason publicly.
Sefton Central Labour, Bill Esterson MP confirmed his death news through a Facebook post on September 9, 2023, with a statement:
“The news that Matty Lock passed away yesterday will be devastating to many people in Maghull and elsewhere. Matty was a wonderful young man with a lot of accomplishments and big ambitions for the future. He has accomplished a lot for this town in a short period of time. He had his typical TV time slot. It’s incredibly difficult to accept he’s gone. As I write this, I’m thinking of him, along with his parents, and I’ll always remember his grin and passion. Let Matty rest in peace.”
Thoughts and Condolences to his family, friends, and community in this challenging time, Matty’s funeral and burial services have not been released yet.
Along with his rising political career, Matty had made several appearances on the popular ITV program, where he reviewed vacuum cleaners—a subject he was passionate about. ITV news has also paid tribute on Matty’s departure.
Social media have been flooded with prayers and sympathies; his untimely demise left the community in shock and disbelief. However, questions are being raised due to his sudden death.
Carole Thompson posted on Facebook and raised a question regarding the sudden demise of young people and wrote:
“There are so many young people dying nowadays! Why is it taking place? It seems to be occurring more frequently now. What, was it the Covid vaccines? Whenever something like this occurs to a young person, I tend to be quite skeptical”, but no one knows the truth behind his early demise.
Prayers for the young boy; his legacy towards his passion will always endure, and he will always be remembered in the history of Maghull. Rest in Peace Matthew Lock.
