Joseph Wilson, a popular content creator of the YouTube channel Mitten Squad, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023. He was 27 years old. He has amassed over one million subscribers on YouTube with engaging videos and entertaining commentary.

Who was Mitten Squad?

Mitten Squad is the name of a YouTube channel that Joseph Robert Wilson, aka Mitten Squad and Paul, created. He was a popular YouTuber who gained fame with his entertaining and informative videos on games. He garnered widespread appreciation with his ‘Can You Beat’ series, where he takes on challenges within Bethesda games. Most of his videos have over one million views. His fans loved his unique challenges and exceptional gaming skills. But more than that, they enjoyed his distinctive commentary.

Born on May 15, 1996, to Wayne and Lisa, the 27-year-old had amassed a loyal fan base with his engaging content. His peers describe him as a loyal friend who brought happiness and joy into everyone’s lives. He was funny and supportive of his friends. All those who were fortunate enough to experience his warmth will profoundly feel his absence.

What happened to Mitten Squad?

Joseph Wilson, aka Mitten Squad, had been struggling with alcohol addiction. He mentioned his battle with addiction on his X (formally known as Twitter) account. Earlier this year, he said that his injurious habit was out of control, and he had to go to the emergency room again. He also announced that he had been diagnosed with pancreatitis.

He had been struggling with his health. Despite the best efforts of physicians and medications, his health further deteriorated, and he passed away on December 14, 2023. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this challenging time.

He is survived by his parents, Wayne and Lesa, his brother Jeffery, and grandparents Loraine Wilson, Leila (Edward Ford) and David (Karen) Kowalsky. He is succeeded in death by his grandfather, Roy Wilson.

Visitations will be held on December 17, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Brownstown Chapel at Molnar Funeral Homes, Brownstown, Michigan, USA, followed by entombment at Michigan Memorial Park in Flat Rock, Michigan, USA.
