Myles Goodwyn co-founded April Wine in 1969 with David Henman (guitar), Ritchie Henman (drums), and Jim Henman (bass). He was the lead vocalist and songwriter of the group. The rock band released 16 albums and performed together for over four decades.

In 1976, they released their fifth album, ‘The Whole World’s Goin Crazy,’ including the hit song ‘Like a Lover, Like a Song’ which earned the band platinum status. Their biggest hit single was ‘You Won’t Dance With Me’ from the album ‘Forever for Now’. It was also platinum. Their 1978 album ‘First Glance’ song ‘Roller’ secured a place on the Billboard Hot 100 for several weeks, and the album earned them worldwide recognition.

In 2016, he authored an autobiography ‘Just between You and Me.’ He has also created two solo albums, with his second album ‘Myles Goodwyn and Friends of Blues’ released in 2018. His son, Aaron Goodwyn, followed in his footsteps and became an electronic musician.
