OlaDips, a Nigerian Pop Star, Has Passed Away; What Happened to Him?

The Nigerian rapper had been struggling with his health for over two years.

OlaDips, a Nigerian artist and rapper, passed away following a medical emergency on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. The pop star’s management announced the sad news of his untimely demise on his official Instagram page on Wednesday, that said,

“We are saddened to inform the general public that Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji, aka OLADIPS, passed away yesterday, Nov’ 14th, Tuesday evening, at exactly 10:14 pm. We are still in shock as we speak! For over two years, he kept his battle within himself. His body is now with his family & funeral services will be announced as it is concluded!

The family asked that we respect their privacy in this trying time. May God give us all the fortitude to bear this great loss. (amen)- Management.”
OlaDips’ death happened barely two months after the death of rapper Oladimeji Aloba, famously known as Mahbad.

OlaDips had reportedly collapsed and was rushed to the hospital by his friends. He later died. A video of the incident circulated on the Internet. Previously, OlaDips had taken to Instagram stories to reach out and ask for help.

In one post, he mentioned one of his friends, @onlyonelifetime, and asked where he was. The pop star complained about how he had been attempting to get a hold of his friend on the phone several times and how they were aware that he did not like to be left alone in the house, especially with his condition.

Who was OlaDips?

OlaDips was a Nigerian rapper and pop star. He had made a name for himself in the hip-hop scene with his authentic music and relatable lyrics. He proved his musical prowess with hit songs like Lalakukulala in 2017, Twenty tri K in 2019, The Boy in 2022, O Sure in 2018, and many more.
Earlier this year, he had to postpone his much-awaited music album due to challenges he faced. He took to his Instagram page to inform his devoted followers that their appreciation and love meant the world to him. he wrote,

I Am Not Mentally Ready, Thank You All For Reaching Out, I Don’t Take The Love For Granted!”

His album SperHeroAdugbo was later released, which included songs that depicted the singer’s spiritual journey and connection with God. He attributed his success to a blessing from God and prayed to him to put him on the Right path.
