Cause of Death
The Busan Police Station and Fire Department were alerted to an incident where a woman fell into a reservoir at 12:57 PM KST, as reported by several South Korean media outlets. Upon their swift arrival at the scene, authorities promptly initiated an underwater search operation.
Around 4:20 PM KST, they successfully located the woman and urgently transported her to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, she suffered a heart attack, and medical professionals pronounced her deceased. After conducting a thorough investigation, the authorities later confirmed the woman’s identity as Pyo Hye Rim.
The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding Pyo Hye Rim’s tragic decision. During this challenging time, our heartfelt thoughts and condolences go out to her grieving family, friends, and the entire South Korean community.
Pyo Hye Rim’s Last Statement about Bullying
It was reported that Pyo Hye Rim alluded to her drastic choice in a YouTube video titled “I Want to Be Comfortable Now.” In this video, she candidly expressed her anguish:
“For the past 12 years, I have endured school violence in elementary, middle, and high schools. I have faced humiliation and anonymous personal attacks on a YouTube channel. Furthermore, they have disputed the validity of my accounts of school violence. In response, I have lost the confidence to endure the suffering. There appears to be no reason to continue living. Please, do not forget my story.”
Pyo, a YouTube artist who owned a small beauty parlor in Yeonje-gu, Busan, courageously shared her experiences as a victim of school violence spanning over a decade. In April, she took a bold step by submitting a nationwide petition, calling for revising regulations that could potentially favor those involved in acts of school violence.
Her bullying narrative was identical to the protagonist’s story from The Glory. Prayers for her afterlife comfort. Rest in Peace, Pyo Rim.
