Texas: Leon Valley Police is searching for a pregnant 18-year-old who went missing on the day she was to be induced.
Savannah Soto, an 18-year-old pregnant teenager, has been reported missing by her family. Savannah and her boyfriend, Mathew Guerra, disappeared on December 22, 2023. The teen, who was scheduled for induced labour over the weekend, was last seen at her apartment complex.
What happened to Savannah Soto?
Savannah Soto went missing along with her boyfriend, Mathew Guerra, on December 22, 2023. Savannah was scheduled for induced labour over the weekend but never showed up at the hospital. Her mother, Gloria Cordova, said she last heard from her daughter on Friday. The Police Chief confirmed there is an ongoing missing persons investigation.
Cordova shared that her pregnant daughter was a week past her due date and was set to be induced Saturday night, but she never made it to the hospital.
“Savannah was so, so happy because she was going to be a mommy. It breaks my heart,” Cordova said. She said Savannah was ready to embrace motherhood. She had the nursery done and had planned on giving birth with her mother in the delivery room.
However, on Saturday afternoon, Cordova could not reach her daughter. She decided to check on her at her apartment.
“I went by there and knocked and knocked and knocked, and she wasn’t answering.” She was not home and could not reach her on her phone.
“We got to the hospital, they said she wasn’t there,” Cordova said. She filed a Police report with Leon Valley Police after she got suspicious as she could not get a hold of her boyfriend either.
“We don’t even know what happened; they said it could be anything,” she said.
Savannah left her purse, phone, and all her belongings behind, making it impossible to locate her via cell phone tracking. According to the neighbours, they heard arguing and her screaming for help the night before the disappearance. CCTV cameras captured both Savannah and her boyfriend leaving at 11 a.m., and they never returned. Her boyfriend’s mother, Karen Hernandez, said they were seen leaving in a Cadillac. But other people reject this suggestion, saying it was a Kia Optima with no license plate.
Savannah’s mother, Gloria Cordova, has turned to social media and asked for everyone’s help locating her daughter. It is tough on her as last year her 15-year-old son was killed. She was still grieving the loss of one child, and this year, on Christmas Eve, her 18-year-old pregnant daughter has gone missing. She is urging everyone with any information to come forward.
