Tragically, Tersius Eathon Kocks, also known as Terra Cox, a brilliant contestant who finished in the top 4 of Idols SA’s Season 12, passed away suddenly on August 27, 2023; he was discovered dead at his residence.
According to RDCNews Terra Cox may have committed suicide as a result of his prolonged battle with depression and poor mental health. It’s crucial to remember that his family has not formally confirmed these things.
His close friend and musician Alton Zakay Music broke the terrible news of Terra Cox’s passing through a Facebook post:
“We regret to inform you of the passing of Tersius Eathon Kocks, well known as Terra Cox. Please accept our heartfelt sympathy. His family and friends are in our hearts and prayers. We will provide further information about how we will remember and honor the life of a wonderful brother, artist, and friend.”

Funeral Details
The funeral memorial program in celebration of the life of Terra Cox will start on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at JD Thomas Hall, Eden Park; the memorial ceremony of Cox will begin at 6:30 PM.
