Lucas is currently held at the Bullitt County Detention Center, facing two counts of murder charges. The incident unfolded when authorities responded to a house on Bentwood Drive around 11 AM. According to the Bullitt County police, they found two children shot with a pistol on the bed, as mentioned in the arrest citation.

Emergency services rushed the two boys, aged six and nine, covered in blood, to Norton’s Children’s Hospital. Despite efforts, the children succumbed to their injuries. The identities of the kids have not been disclosed.
Witnesses pointed to Lucas as the person responsible, leading to her arrest on two charges of murder.

Neighbours claimed to have seen the boys playing outside just the day before, though they didn’t know the family directly. At 2:43 PM, Tiffanie Lucas was taken into custody. According to a witness at the scene, Lucas shot the boys, as noted in her arrest citation.

Carol Warren, a nearby Shepherdsville resident, expressed her horror, saying, “That kind of thing continuing is horrifying. I understand that people become irritated, but that is excessive. It is depressing.” Susie MrsBlakemore also confirmed the news through a Facebook post, which stated:

“This is awful. She dressed up with her sons for Halloween last week. Then one week later (yesterday) she shoots them and kills them… 😭Those poor boys.”

While neighbours declined to appear on camera, the children played with others on Tuesday night; when asked about her activities, Lucas mentioned having “a lot going on” while hurriedly cleaning carpets. They were shocked to learn of her arrest and the tragic loss of her children less than twenty-four hours later.
