The unexpected spread of the news of artist Tito Jackson‘s passing this week alarmed his fans all across the world.

But the August 2023 rumor has since been proven to be a total scam about a singer who born in Gary, Indiana, his news of demise is not valid.

The American singer Tito Jackson, a five guitarist, is still alive and healthy. It all started with fake news on social media.

Over the years, numerous celebrities, including Betty White, Dolly Parton, and Paul McCartney, have fallen victim to death hoaxes. Tito has also become part of the death rumors list.

This death hoax incident occurred after a well-known female comedian, Luenell Campbell, circulated an Instagram post claiming Tito’s demise.

According to reports, Luenell wrote in her post:

“Popularly known as Tito Jackson “Toriano Adaryll:” passed away from multiple health complications on Sunday. “At about 11 a.m. ET on Sunday (August 20, 2023), our beloved singer Tito Jackson passed away.

Tito Jackson (son of Joseph Jackson and Katherine Jackson) was born in Gary on October 15, 1953. He will be missed but not forgotten.” He was 69 years of age.”

The singer’s representatives formally declared Tito Jackson’s viability on Tuesday, August 22, and said:

“He now joins the long list of famous people who have fallen for this scam. Stop trusting anything you read online; he is still alive and healthy.”

Despite senior news producer for TMZ Loren Lorosa revealing that the report was untrue, netizens have become angry about the false claim, calling it careless, upsetting, and damaging to the singer’s devoted followers and reacting negatively to Luenell’s untrue assertions on Tito Jackson’s passing.

Luenell also expressed regret and removed the false information. She later posted another apology statement on her Twitter account:

“THIS IS NOT TRUE__The next time, I will absolutely verify my sources, but this is where I got that ugly roomer from in the first place.

I love Tito and all the Jacksons, and I’m very sorry for my premature condolence post earlier. I didn’t make it up. I read it. #FAKENews”
