Walt Stevens, a well-known name in the world of drag racing, passed away unexpectedly on October 13, 2023. He was an Ingénue/Buick Dealers group Funny Car club member. His exact cause of death no official statement regarding his death cause has not been released publicly.

Randy Wright confirmed his death news through a Facebook post and wrote in the statement:
“I learned this morning that Walt Stevens, a close friend and confidant, had passed away. In addition to being a Top Fuel racer and a true pioneer in the racing industry, he was a dear friend and a big supporter of LKK Racing with his generous donations of CAM2 Blue Blood Racing Oil.
He spent many lives on this planet, always smiling and encouraging others. I sincerely sympathise with his wife, Maria, family, and friends. Racer, rest in peace. Godspeed, real badasses.”
Stevens left the world by leaving his loved ones in loss and grief. Thoughts and Condolences to his family, friends and community. His funeral details have not been released yet.

Walt Steven was a Sylmar, Los Angeles, California resident and belonged to Venice; he Went to Venice Senior High School and Studied at Santa Monica College. Steven was the ower, Mastercan Programmer, CNC machining, and Owner-Operator at A & A Precision, CNC machine.
According to Steven’s Facebook profile, He also served at Racers Reunion Radio /The Wally Bell Live Internet Radio Show and Worked at the National Grudge Race Association. Stevens was a drag racer who competed in Top Fuel and was a great innovator in the sport. He generously supplied LKK Racing with CAM2 Blue Blood Racing Oil.
His remarkable achievements in the drag racing industry and undying dedication will live on in memory forever. For many people in the drag racing community, Stevens was more than simply a rival; he was also a friend, a mentor, and an inspiration.
Everyone he came into contact with at the track was more united and joyful because of his presence. He gave the Ingenue/Buick Dealers Group Funny Car everything he had, which greatly enhanced the sport. Stevens’ legacy will always endure, and his loved ones will dearly miss him. John Lipori wrote on Facebook: “Numb beyond words….truly one of the most decent people I’ve ever encountered in the drag racing industry…Walt Stevens always has a smile on his face.
Walt provided the funny car’s rear slicks for no cost and brought them close to my house. My friend, we will all miss seeing you at Nitro Revival. Sir, we send our prayers to Maria and the family.”
Ben de la Vega also shared a statement on Facebook; “I just learned that Walt Stevens, a legendary drag racer, a friend, and a fellow Standard 1320 member, died away yesterday.
I could see immediately that Walt was all that had been said about him to be remarkable. He was entirely sincere! Walt, you are loved and will be missed. Save me a seat in the grandstands.”
